chocolate chip walnut brownies

These brownies are a mouthful of heaven. The ginger mixed with the chocolatey flavor gives it a nice little unexpected touch. They are so scrumptious it's ridiculous.

350 g soft butter
6 dl sugar
3 dl cocoa powder
1 dl golden syrup
0.5 tsp salt
6 eggs
3 dl wheat flour
400 g white baking chocolate
300 g walnuts

1. Preheat oven to 175 degrees celsius.
Grease a big pan, approximately 40x50 cm.
2. Cream together butter an sugar until white and fluffy.
3. Mix in cocoa, syrup and salt.
4. Beat in one egg at a time. Last, stir flour into batter and mix until nice and even.
5. Chop chocolate into pieces and mix with batter and add walnuts.
6. Pour into pan and bake for 15-25 minutes or until
knife inserted in center comes out clean.
7. Let cool completely before spreading on fudge glaze. 

3 dl heavy cream
1 dl milk
1 dl golden syrup
1 tsp ground ginger
400 g dark chocolate

1. Combine heavy cream, milk, syrup and ginger in saucepan and let boil for only a minute. Remove from heat.
2. Chop chocolate into pieces and add to glaze, stir until melted.
3. Spread glaze on brownies. Let cool in fridge before cutting into pieces.
